How to use sound card in front ports?

I was told that the front port wires are supposed to be able to connect to your sound card, so when you plug headphones into the front ports, it should utilize your sound card.

So, what if these front port wires don't actually fit into the sound card? I have no idea what to do.

The FP Audio Connector needs to be connected to the FA audio header on the Xonar and not on the Mobo. Make sure you have it connected there.
Check the User Manual, it's the No.6 Connector on the Xonar.

The problem is the FP audio connector has one of the holes blocked off so it doesn't fit correctly

so it s 4 pin connector? Well if that's the case you need to just hook up your headphones directly to the sound card. Unless you want to use onboard audio with front panel which defeats the purpose of the audio card.

Same amount of pins as the labeled 6, but it has a blocked off hole, eh, I guess it isn't compatible for front ports.
