So this past weekend there was a bad lightning storm when I decided to unplug all of my electronics. When it was all over, once my pc was back up, it would not connect to the internet via lan.
I had accidentally deleted the QAPS before but managed to reinstall it from the driver disc that came with my M87 G45 Gaming mis mb.
However, when I tried reinstalling it from the disc this time, the LAN driver option was greyed out. And if I try Killer from the disc files it brings up and error "You must have proper Killer hardware installed in order to install Killer Performance Suite."

No now I have no network adapters in my device manager to add drivers to. What do I do?????
Thank you

I tried to Google the mobo that you have listed. Apparently there is no such animal as a "M87 G45 Gaming" mobo. could it be a "Z87 G45 Gaming"? If I had the correct mobo model, I could find the drives online.

Do you have the onboard NIC enabled in the BIOS?

I have the driver on a usb already but I do not know what to do with it.

Also let me know if I am leaving any details out so I can try and better explain.

Go to Start>Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Devices and Printers. Select your computer from the list. Double click on your computer. Select "Properties". In the Properties box, select the "Hardware" tab. Find your NIC and select it. Click on Properties in the lower right. When the Properties come up, select the "Driver" tab. Click on the button in the list which says "Update Driver". Click on the option to "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer." Browse to your flash drive and select the Killer Driver. It should be self explanatory from here.

I do not see any network controller options in my computers hardware list.
If I open up device manager I don't have Network Adapter either.

After more research I found this
http://
and tried bob_mills solution with no luck.

Try opening network and sharing center, on the left choose change adapter settings, If anything is disabled right click and enable them. If you are still having issues on network and sharing center click troubleshoot problems.

Hope this helps :)

When going into Change adapter settings nothing populates but a blank page which I have never seen before.
Afterwards I ran the troubleshooter for network adapter and as expected it says there is no driver for my network adapter. The issue still remains that I do not have any Network Adapter to add drivers to, or so it seems.
If I do I am unable to find where.

[Yogi I don't know if you can help me I have an ASUS notebook pc and it's stopped connecting to the internet and the router, i am clueless with this sort of thing and having read the problem solving options (the message said that there was a problem with both drivers) i downloaded the realtek driver onto a usb from another computer and installed that successfully..... then tried the same with the qualcomm and think ive stuffed it up completely!!!! helllp please!

If you have tried all of the suggested solutions above, and it still doesn't work, I suggest that you start a new thread. Kinda hard to advise two different ppl with two different systems on the same thread. It gets very confusing!
