Looking to upgrade my GPU, would appreciate some advice.

Current setup:
-i7 2600
8gb DDR3 RAM
-Foxconn H61MXL-K
-AMD Radeon 6850
-CWT 405 PSU

Looking to upgrade to a gtx960, any advice on which wattage PSU I should go for?

I'd go with a XFX 550W, something like that.

I would say,your current powersupply is just fine.Nevertheless,if your keen on your psu upgrade then go for an CORSAIR Cx 430M (btw 'M' is for semi-modular)

A CX500 would be good enough for the 960

Corsair CX PSUs are junk. Buy something quality, with enough power for some future upgrades and to compensate for capacitor aging.

Who knows with the cheap capacitors in the CX series. They are priced that cheap for a reason.

If you absolutely must, I could live with it. I own a CX600 and it hasn't given me any problems but the only reason I got it is because I was in a pinch and after store credit and rebates it cost me less than $10.

I rarely or ever suggest anything below Tier II because the PSU is the most important component in your system. If you're looking for cheap, cheap is what you'll get. You have to pay for quality. Hell, if rebates don't scare you the link below is high quality and more power than you'll ever need.

At that price, I'm seriously considering replacing the aforementioned CX600 and just keeping it as a spare to use temporarily in a pinch.

@joesshh Glad it helped.Nvm Corsair is a reputed company, they would not go that cheap on thier products But,Make sure you don't end up with the VS series by corsair(they could be very cheap and dont offer any sort of certified efficiency ratings) So I suggest you stick with your current PSU or Grab a CX 430M which is semi modular and has 80+ bronze power efficiency!

Corsair cases, RAM, liquid coolers...I agree but unless I'm looking for a high end PSU, HX, AX, some RM models, something like that, there's better options for the same price or less.

Certainly, but i'd rather have too much power than too little.

Again, the CX430 or your existing PSU are probably good enough. That said, I'd probably rather have the 430 than what ever you currently have.
