Recently bought new motherboard, cpu and ram. Earlier I had a wireless connector which doesnt fit in the new motherboard. Decided to move my computer and connect with ethernet. Now when I plug it in there there is 2 lights that recognizes that its there, but windows acts like nothing is there. Keep in mind that ive never used ethernet before, but i couldnt find an simple answer from google.

thanks in advance :)

So by saying "windows is acting like nothing is there" are you saying that there isnt any adapters listed in your network connections? If that's the case, your best bet is to reinstall your ethernet LAN driver. I've had an issue similar in the past, and after months of trying different things and losing hope I found my original motherboard cd. (the cd that comes with the mobo and contains some vital system software) I popped it in and used the ethernet LAN install wizard on the cd to remove the current version. From there I used the same wizard to install the driver once more. Worked like a charm. Give that a shot and lemme know if it works.
