I am desperately trying to find out why my graphics card is always overheating for even the simplest of games since my system restore. I am running an XFX Radeon HD 7970 Black edition on a Windows 8.1. I downloaded many important updates as well as the following optional one for my graphics card
Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. - Graphics Adapter WDDM1.3 - AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series
Installation date: 7/4/2015 4:07 PM
Installation status: Succeeded
Update type: Optional
Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. Graphics Adapter WDDM1.3 software update released in July, 2014

I am wondring if this is the cause for this odd overheating or not, and if it is, is there a way to change it? I man really, I am playing Dragon Age: Origins on the lowest settings and it still reaches up to 97 degrees. help!
