I have a MSI A78M E35 with and athlon x4 860k and a gpu however whenever I power up the system I get no display or sometimes I get a block of colour on the bottom of the screen or colour lines, I want to know what part I need to replace(if there is anything to replace) also I have read about people with my mobo online who have had the same problem and say it's to do with updating bios, is this the case for me?

When you start your pc do your fans spin at max RPM? If so your motherboard is faulty/dead.
Contact MSI for a motherboard replacement
If not please tell me and Ill be more than happy to help your further

Hope this helps :)

I don't exactly know what RPM is however all the fans in the pc spin for sure, does this mean it's a mobo problem or gpu?
If it's worth mentioning I get 1 long beep 2 short wheb the gpu is out but when it's in the mobo I get no beeps.

Ok will give this a try however I'm going to replace the gpu first to see if that's the problem but if it isnt then I will replace the mobo, do you have any good recommendations of a mobo that's good for the athlon 860k?

Fingers crossed, Unfortunately I'm not much into AMD components I'm more of a intel person. I do not want to recommend the wrong thing which is why I won't be listing any motherboards. But MSI motherboards are a good choice, I use one in my build and it is the best!
I can always try find some motherboards for you if you like though
Hope this helped :)

All you have to do is plug the HDMI in the computer and the other end in the TV.

If it doesnt work its a faulty cable
Hope this helps

Are you plugging the HDMI cable in the GPU or motherboard?
If GPU try install the latest drivers and video drivers.
If motherboard try a BIOS update
