So I just bought a 1TB Samsung SSD, currently I have a 1TB HDD with games, docs, etc on it and, I also have a 120GB SSD with my OS (Windows 8.1) on it. I want to transfer the data from my current 1TB HDD to my new 1TB SSD, I am going to leave my OS on my 120 GB SSD. What is the best way to transfer the data? A program? Drag and drop? Magic?

Thanks!

If there are no active programs on the HDD you can just copy paste everything from the HDD to the SSD and then change the drive letters so that the SSD has the drive letter of your old HDD. Assuming the HDD has drive letter D, you need to open disk management and right click on the drive and select change drive letter, and set the drive letter on the HDD to 'i' for example. Then do the same with the SSD but set the drive letter to D, then you can set the drive letter of your old HDD to what you prefer ie 'E'. Check that everything works like it should and you are done.
