I need to know if this is a good gaming pc for casual gaming. Also I am fairly new to pc's in general.

CPU: Intel Pentium G3258

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B85M-DS3H Micro ATX LGA 1150

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X series 8GB

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB Hard Drive

Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon HD 5450 512MB

Case: Cooler Master N200 MicroATX Mid Tower Case

Power Supply: EVGA 500W 80+ Certified ATX

Solution
That HD 5450 will be absolutely horrible for any kind of gaming. It's much weaker than modern integrated APU graphics.

Option 1:

Option 2: I can't even make a viable intel-based build even with a Celeron and R7 260X,

Thank you so much for the recommendation it is a very big help and I really appreciate it. :)

You could go with that and ad a mid-range graphics card later, or just give that build away and build a much better machine when you get like $600. Or better yet, save up more and get something like this:
