Hi and thanks for reading so heres a little background to my problem i have a amd a8 5600k and i used the stock cooler for a month and noticed that the computer was randomly turning off so i bought the well known cooler master hyper 212 + well that didn't work out to well due to the top pipes pushing out case and the performance(44c idle) was OK i was a little disappointed as everyone else was saying how they were getting in the 20s so after that i bought the zelman cnps 9900max and am averaging the same temps(maybe 1c lower) and i heard even better things about that cooler and still no results....i am stumped and in HWMonitor with prime95 i was running 81c and my idle numbers are from the bios btw.
Any help with this is much preached and also if anyone had this cooler did they accidentally strip the scews during install?I did so i am a little worried i also orderd AS5 but i have reseated my heatsink 2 times and cleaned it and nothing....lemme know what i can do to fix this or is there a better cooler out there for under 45-50
