thermarltake smart se 730w enough??

The Thermaltake Smart SE 730 power supply is ranked here on Toms as a Tier 4 power supply. We only recommend buying Tier 1 or Tier 2 power supplies.

Here is what the keepers of the list say about Tier 4 power supplies:

Tier Four
No Japanese capacitors found. Only Taiwanese capacitors and may even include Chinese capacitors. Very basic safety circuits or even thin gauge wiring used. Not for gaming rigs or overclocking systems of any kind. Avoid unless your budget dictates your choice.

Get 650w+ PSU from Tier 1 or 2. If they are out of your budget which probably are since you are looking at thermaltake smart series, tell me your budget and give me the link to the website where you will be buying and i will tell you that is the best PSU you can get for your budget

You go out and spend a lot of money getting good quality computer parts, and then want to cheap out on the power supply. That makes no sense at all. The power supply is what keeps your computer running smoothly if it is a quality power supply. If it is not, it often just makes your computer seem like it is possessed, and you miserable as a result.

do one of these power supllies good quality and can run the system fine.
 
We have those listed, but they are not ranked. This normally means that the company selling the power supplies, Thermaltake in this case, has not sent out units to the reviewers for review. Or the units are new, and reviewers have not gotten to them yet. Either way, I see 4 power supplies from Thermaltake, all made by a company named Enhance, and none of them have been reviewed. This is the total of what I know about those:

It can damage your otherparts lets say you buy PC for 1000$ and get 40$ low quality PSU if that PSU dies it will likely damage otherparts as well. but if you didnt skip on PSu and got good quality one for 60$ its almost immposible for it to damage your parts if it dies.

So if you get low quality PSU so you could save 20$ you lost 1000$ worth of components
 
The cooler master is also a Tier 3 power supply.

You clearly have not taken a look at the power supply list I linked for you. You can see how these power supplies are ranked yourself.

If nothing else, look for Seasonic power supplies. I do not believe they make any low quality power supplies. In fact, I believe they are the best made power supplies on the planet.

And yes, the problem with using a cheap power supply is that it is much more likely to fail, and since they only have some protections built-in, and not most of them, when they fail, they can literally fry your entire system. And you do not want that to happen.

Summary

As Thermaltake units go, the Toughpower Grand 750W is one of the better units I've had my hands on. It's very clean on the outputs, quite stable, and looks downright fabulous. It does have a few things holding it back from being the best it can be, but it's all minor stuff. There is quite a bit of potential here. I'm hoping that Thermaltake is able to take advantage of it in future units.

The Good:

really low ripple
very efficient
looks real purty
very stable regulation at 12V output
comes with lots of extra goodies
The Bad:

the long mounting screws in the box are a necessity for mounting the unit - don't lose them
The Mediocre:

ATX connector issues kept the 3.3V and 5V rails from being as stable as they could be
