Canon MG5350 inkjet showed B200 fault, so printhead was replaced. But printed pages are now blank.

Solution
I don't know how long your printer was left unused whilst waiting for the new printhead to arrive but it's possible that the remaining ink in the unsealed cartridges has dried to a paste instead of being liquid and is therefore no longer able to flow through in to the printhead.

This is even more likely to occur if the inks are solvent-based as opposed to being pigment-based, since the solvent component evaporates relatively quickly.

If that's the case, a set of new cartridges should do the trick.

Thanks for the reply. I had found a blue cartridge that had solidified, the first I had ever seen, and replaced it, and then later, all the OK others one at a time, but it's still the same. I have ordered new ones and will be try that set when they arrive. Ink is being taken from the cartridges when doing a head clean as the levels change. Neither colour or black printing work. Not very optimistic just now.

Any luck? I have three MG5320's here. One is completely dead, two have worked up until recently. One had a B200 error that went away when I changed out the print head. I confirmed it was a bad print head by putting it in the third printer and once again receiving the B200 error. So I have two "working printers" and two "good" print heads. No matter which combination I use, the printers just spit out blank sheets without any error messages. Nozzle print patterns are also blank and running cleanings nor manually cleaning the heads make any difference. I have a ton of cartridges (the only reason I am bothering with these units anymore) and am using the cartridges that worked last week. Still, no luck. How about you Phillip, any luck?

I had replaced a couple of cartridges that were low, just after my last print. So was expecting the printer to be OK two weeks later, but it was not. Printer cartridges don't just dry out in a couple of weeks. There have been a few times when I have not printed for 6 weeks and still been OK. What happened this time was one cartridge fermented and the foam solidified and I did not pick that up until after it had probably damaged the new head. Cartridges need to contain an effective anti-ferment chemical. It may have worked if I had bought yet another head. But, I chose to dump it.
