I have a pc with 4gb DDR3 , I am thinking of upgrading my RAM! Currently my DRAM frequency is 669.6 MHz and NB frequency is 2008.8 Mhz! I AM RUNNING ON WINDOWS 8.1 pro 64-bit.I want to know what max memory frequency can my motherboard support. My motherboard is of ASUSTek Computer INC. model is M5A78L-M LE!

While the mobo may support 1866, the MC in your CPU will be the determining factor in what data rate of DRAM you can run, this may explain it a little more fully, it uses 3200 DRAM as an example:

Chill, even the sempron series supports 1600mhz, so ur good since u probably have athlon, phenom or fx

Sempron is native to 1066 with 2 sticks, 800 w/ 4, Athlon II X2 the same, Phenom 2 1333 for 2 sticks 1066 for 4 sticks. The 965 was the first AMD CPU that could even reliably run 1600....

Oh, oops...i read somewhere that sempron could support 1600mhz, obviously...that information was wrong
