Hello guys!
For the past month I've been having a very frustrating issue with my online games. Whenever I play online games (specifically, League of Legends and Counter Strike), my internet cuts off every 2nd minute or so for a few seconds, meaning that everybody in the game freezes in one place, and my TeamSpeak client goes silent as well, which means that the whole internet shuts down for a few seconds. Weird thing is that my ping is perfectly fine.

This started happening when I upgraded my contract with my ISP and got a better connection. They came in here, installed a new modem that serves as my main router now. I've never experienced these 'lags' before.

To descire my home internet: Said router is connected to a switch, that is connected to my pc. I've tried disconnecting the switch from the network, and plug in directly from the router to my pc, the problem still persisted. I've turned off windows firewall, the problem still persisted. I've opened all the ports on the router manually, the problem still persisted.

After this I phoned my ISP and ask them if they can see my connection if there is any packet loss, but there weren't any problems from their part. I've tested my connection with pingtest.net, and it was perfectly fine, 0% packet loss.

I'm starting to run out of ideas here. The weird thing is that nobody in my home experiences these problems, only me, and only while playing games.

Any help would be highly appreciated, and thanks in advance.

Could be a bit of overheating maybe.....

Go to the Start button and in the "Search Programs" box type "Perfmon /res" without the quotes.

Watch the various performance parameters for a bit and then play one of the affected games. See if you can identify any parameter changes that correspond to the freezing you have been experiencing. You will probably need to work your way through the various tabs and settings....

Be alert for any services or programs (e.g., TeamSpeak) that stop, grab all the CPU time, take up memory etc. That will help narrow down the cause.
