Yes - it will work if your MOBO has a pcie x16 slot (either 3.0 or 2.0), the GPU memory
works independently of the mobo memory, but you need an X16 slot to install the GPU in.

The DDR5 in GPU = GPU

RAM DDR is not equivalent to GPU DDR
