What parts would you suggest for an amd build to have the specified gaming performance?

Hello

I would like to help my dad to buy a gaming computer so we could play lan
My build:
A10-6800k
Fm2a75m-dgs
8gb kingston hyperx 2400mhz dual channel
Gigabyte Gtx 980 ti g1 gaming
Xfx pro series xxx 850w
(I will change to skylake i7 6700k i think)

also can i go sli with this power supply?

His build now
Amd 2800+
Nvidia Gt 7800
1 or 2gb ram i think

This need to be changed :/
So it should play games my build can in med-high settings 1280x1024
The thing is he is huge amd fanboy
he can accept nvidia
but wont take anything thats intel not even if i buy it for him

nothing can convince him he is too stubborn

What do you think he should buy? Mostly the cpu if he wont take anything thats intel? Im no better than him in choosing a cpu anyway xD

He can spend 300 000 huf - 1000$

He never overclock also he never goes sli in any computer

He was thinking about the r9 280x or gtx 960
8gb ram
Fx 9590
And the other parts i dont know
He has an other computer for work so this would be only for gaming
Monitor and operating system not needed

Don't bother with the FX 9590.
Stay with the FX 8350 and a decent 990FX motherboard. Ram should be at least 8GB at 1600/1866Mhz. Psu should be at least 550/650W.

It's just an overclocked FX 8350 and it isn't worth the price for it. Plus you will need a beefy cpu cooler, ideally a high end water AIO cpu cooler.

That is a good build if you don't mind the ram colour not matching the red/black theme.
If the sapphire Nitro is cheaper I would get that card over the Gigabyte.

Yes but it will certainly run for at least two more generations at max settings 60fps for AAA titles though.

He mostly like rts games like starcraft 2
As mutch as i know its more heavy on the cpu
