Hello, first time poster here:
Recently, during games, my games randomly freeze on me with the audio continuing; I have to Alt-tab or Ctrl, Alt, Del in order to "fix" it. However I'm unsure of what's causing this yet alone what can be done about it. Google has told me a multitude of potential issues, from failing graphics card to PSU issues and the fixes always seem to be buy replacement, more powerful piece of hardware. In short, I am unsure of what to do as buying new hardware is an expensive no no currently.

Thanks in advance.

SPECS:
Processor: Intel Core i5-4670K @3.40GHz
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 760
RAM: 8GB
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium (64bit)
PSU: Corsair VS 650

Solution
Look like it is the GUP problem, because the gtx760 is the factory-overclocked one, it may not run stable. You can try use the software that came the card or MSI afterburner to increase the voltage or underclock the gtx760.
Also may try the temp (GPU, or cpu) too, using the HWiNFO64 http://www.hwinfo.com/download.php
