All audio stopped after changing quality

I am just getting my system up and running and installed drivers from the ASUS website and my audio did work for a little while. After I changed the quality of the audio I can no longer get it to work. If i try to test my speakers in the Windows Audio manager I get an error message saying the test tone could not be played. I have reset the audio service, restarted my computer and reinstalled my audio drivers and the problem still seems to persist.

Can anybody give my a solution or even a way to get it to work once it does stop? Any help is appreciated.

Sadly I do not. When I uninstall the driver and install it again my sound will work, but i cannot change the audio quality or the problem comes back

Is the default rate really that bad? I use the default myself and audio seems fine for me.

I will say its not THAT bad. I can use it, but with a little higher end audio equipment i can tell a difference. I tend to be on the picky side when it comes to audio. Its a blessing and a curse at the same time.
