I recently upgraded from an r9 270x to an r9 390 and whenever i try and shut off my computer it turns itself back on. the only way i have found to shutting it off completely is by turning off my power Supply. Anyone know a solution to this problem?

If you mean that you turn it off then it opens back again it is because of the wake-on lan thing . If you are using a lan cable plug it off then try to shutt off your pc so we can see if it is caused by that and if it is i will show you how to fix it

it says C:\Windows\System32> powercfg -lastwake
Wake History count - 1
Wake History [0]
Wake Source Count - 0

C:\windows\System32>

yeaah i had this issue, i think its the intel tech that forces your pc to update or whatever it wakes up your pc from sleep or even from full shutdown its wierd, try this:
go to Computer -> properties -> device manager -> check on network adapters

find your adapter wireless/ethernet

go to its properties and check power managment and uncheck anything under Wake on Lan
and see how this works out

i know its weird but it happened to me once i upgraded my PSU idk why xD

hope this helps it fixed it for me :)

Hi there, do you by any chance have a Gigabyte G1 gaming card like mine? I'm having the same issue here, first ran it on 15.15, then updated to 15.70 to no avail, the self waking restarting issue persisted, just did a DDU uninstall of Catalyst, went to shut the computer down, still didn't help, so it didn't seem to be driver related after all. Giving it another go, I just did a clean install of latest Catalyst, went to shut down and nothing has changed, it would reboot regardless of versions of driver, or the fact that there was no driver installed, very frustrating indeed.

What combo of mobo and cpu do you use? I have a Gigabyte 970a-ud3 with fx8320 running at stock, a friend of mine suggested that I check the bios settings and possibly update the bios, will give that a go later on and see what happens.

It won't let me quote specific posts and reply to them for some reason, anyway our setups are almost identical, and it definitely isn't a driver issue, so it pretty much narrows down to the mobo, will do some testing when my daughter goes to bed, I saw on newegg a few people have the same problem as well, but not everyone who posted feedback had it, so the fault can't be universal.

Edited: just flashed my bios to the latest version, nothing has changed. Sigh..

This is very frustrating. I suggest you did as i did and report the problem to AMD. In the meantime, i appreciate you trying to fix it.

I am in the same boat, R9 390 gaming edition from gigab. and using sniper (M3). I am on my second card- the first one totally fried out after one day, returned and replace, this one works fine other than the restarting.
