My CPU fan started to work really loud. I already changed the thermal paste, and made sure the heat sink was well attached.
I recently reseted the BIOS configuration.
Any suggestions?

But is it normal to the temperature to rise to 96 degrees celsius?

I've tried "throwing" more fresh air using a bigger fan, but it works the same.

Your original complaint was about the fan being too loud. Sounds like your CPU is also too hot. As I and another poster stated, getting an aftermarket cooler and installing it correctly will probably solve both problems.

Yes, I know, I didn't explained myself very well . Sorry.

I did tried another fan, similar to the old one. The processor stopped overheating (it sometimes reach almost 80 degrees Celsius, though).

It still bugs me how the old fan just stopped working overnight.

Thank you for your answers.
