I have a couple questions about Nvidia 680i Sli Compatibility? (Awaiting Answer in last reply)

I have a Nvidia 680i Sli Motherboard with an Intel Pentium Dual core 2.93 GHz and a Evga Gtx 8800 GPU. So, I'm getting into more power hungry games and in return, I'm looking for some upgrades. This is a Intel Mobo, to my understanding, and I was wondering if it is possible to install an AMD 4,6, or even 8 core CPU such as the AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz 8-Core CPU onto the mobo. Is this even possible? And if not, can someone suggest a motherboard that supports this CPU? And I was also looking to switch to the Evga Gtx 980 ti GPU. Will this run on my current Nvidia 680i Sli mobo as well? And if not, can someone suggest a motherboard that supports this GPU? I am not too tech savvy with compatibility because simply as new components are released day by day, the manuals cant list every compatible component. If my "Upgrades" aren't compatible with my motherboard or other components (listed below), please suggest different components that will allow me to make upgrades. Thank you!!!
P.S. I also am only able to run 720p video. Which of the two components listed above, the EVGA 980ti or the 8 core AMD CPU would be more beneficial to gaming/video performance?

Here are my PC Specs:
- Nvidia 680i Sli Motherboard
- Intel Pentium Core 2 Duo 2.93 GHz
- EVGA GTX 8800 GPU
- Apevia 680W Power Supply
- 8 GB DDR3 RAM
- 64-Bit Windows 10
- 500 GB HDD
- ASUS 144FPS 3k Monitor

Solution
Everything you have is out dated and not worth upgrading, NO to adding a new processor to the board, your power supply is bad, probably slow memory, probably a case that a 980ti will not fit in or have proper cooling.
From what you have you would need to buy something like this to really use that monitor.

Why would I buy a new PC? That doesn't really answer any of my questions. What components do i need to be able to run a CPU and GPU or that size?

Hello Zerk, thank you for the answers to my questions. I came here for answers and I got a partial answer although. I understand you don't think I have a fantastic setup and are making assumptions instead of asking. I appreciate your help but I have a mid-size corsair tower, equipped with liquid cooling and 5 corsair fans. I have built pcs myself and i understood everything but compatibility and i am perfectly aware of what will fit and what wont. However, I did some research myself and I found a memory, mobo, and processor bundle on eBay. Thank you for answering my question, but I have a follow up question. Will this combo package ( http://vi.raptor.ebaydesc.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem... ) worn with my pc components and the EVGA 980 TI and or the regular 980? Thank you for your help. -TheMrIggs
