Ram running too slowly? Or Not?

I just built a new PC (here are the specs) and at the moment it has 4gb of ram installed (soon to be 8) and it is ddr3-1600... in my bios, it says that its set at ddr3-1600/800mhz, so is it running at half the speed it should? I downloaded CPU-Z and here is what it says
Any help much appreciated!

1600 MHZ is 800 MHZ times two which means that your RAM is running at 1600 MHZ in Dual Channel. Your RAM is fine.

Close. It's not Dual Channel, but rather Double Data Rate (DDR).
Yes, the RAM is fine, and doing what it is supposed to be doing.

ok one more question, if i overclock the ram, where it says memory clock in the bios, is that the overall speed so i can put it over 1600mhz.
