I planning to build a PC for gaming:
I5 4690k
MSI Motherboard
MSI GTX 970
8 gigs of ram

But the main question I have is related to static protection, as this is my first build I don't know much about it. I know that I need a anti static wristband, but I live in India and here it is nearly impossible to find one. can you help me by giving some tips on other safety precautions.
*I am using a white wooden table for building the PC.
Thank you in advance!

Do NOT work near pets or any animals or anything that will knock your equipment over.
Do NOT work on a carpet, work on something solid, like tile, laminate...etc.
You don't need a wrist band, just periodically touch something large and metal to release all the static charge you may build up. If you want to be ultra safe, get an extra PSU, turn it OFF, and plug it into the wall, and ground yourself with that.
Work with your motherboard on the box it comes in, do not put the bag it comes in between the motherboard/box, just put it on the box out of the bag and save the bag for some other occasion.
