I know, you probably must hate me now with all my problems, but I really don't know what to do, all these issues I'm having the last two weeks are driving me crazy, and I really could use some help........I have a game, for example DMC4SE, and everytime I play, my cpu gets insanely hot, which is very, very not okay to happen. After I did some research, I discovered that some games, takes a lot of power from the cpu as their primary graphic source, "Integrated Graphics" , so I opened the nvidia control panel to change it, turns out, I don't have an option to change between integrated graphics/gpu graphics. I don't know why, I just don't have it, it's missing. Anyway, I'm adding in the list of the programs the DMC4SE, and when I press apply, an error comes out saying " Access Denied : Failed to apply settings to your system. "

What's goin' on here? Anyone having this issue? Is there any kind of fix for that? Sorry for posting all the time, but you guys are my only hope, I don't have anything else in my life beside the computer, I don't want to lose that too....please.

Solution

On a desktop you can not move from integrated to dedicated! A desktop will alway use the grphics card the monitor is attached to! I f it is attached to the Nvidia card, it uses the Nvidia, if it is attached to the motherboard, it will use the integrated graphics of the cpu. You don't miss tho option, because it doesn't exist.

Sorry for being late, my rig is :

CPU : Intel i-5 4570 3.2 GHz
GPU : GTX 750 Ti nvidia
RAM : 8GB
Mobo : ASRock Z87 Extreme 4
Samsung TV 32" 1920x1080 60Hz resolution native.

Also, I'm using the stock cooler, the computer has exactly one year since I got it. There's no option to change from integrated cpu to gpu card, it just miss. I can't find the two ndivia thingies on services.cs to open them, they don't exist. I'd prefer to not uninstall nvidia drivers if there's any other way, and yeah, the hdmi is on the gpu and not on the mobo....at least that's what I think.

Btw, I managed to fix somehow the error I had, strike that part, but still I don't have the option to change between Integrated Graphics Intel to GPU Graphics. And after a test run, my cpu gets hot again....the game plays normaly, everything seems fine, except that it gets hot, the case especially, which is making me afraid....

Ah, thanks a lot man! I was so scared and afraid about that!! Ok, awesome. And I already said that the cable is on the gpu....it's not on the cpu. Whenever I play a game like Hyperdimension Neptunia ReBirth1 or 2, it doesn't even get hot at all, the case....but when I play games like Watchdogs, Dark Souls II, Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition etc etc, the case is getting very hot, but the game is still playing 100% good, with no lags or freezes whatsoever. I'm starting to thin I'm going crazy.....
