So I have this laptop for a year now and I didnt have much problems with it till recently. I play lol but I deceided to go back to wow and ofc problems. I can play about an hour or so untiill it restarts or the screen freezes in some weird pixels.when it restarts (or i restart it myself) i takes even less to restart next time.So my first tought was that it was overheeting but that wasnt the case. The temperature wile gaming is around 55*C and i even cleaned the dust out of it. So next thing i reduced resolution and effects in game but still same problem happens. So is it the graphic card that doesent support the game? I dont have money to change it currently and i would like to avoid that at all causes. So if anyone got idea how to fix it pls let me know its killing me.
some laptop info:
procesor: AMD A4-APU with Radeon(TM) Graphics 1.50 GHz
RAM: 4GB
x64

Solution

Unfortunately the GPU may be faulty. You should get it replaced since when disabled the computer doesn't crash.
If your under warranty call HP for a replacement, or pay for the replacement

Hope this helps :)

First of all than you for posting,
I have cooling board and i celaned all the dust out and the temerature is around 55*C(standard for my model is 50-65*C).
And dont you think lowering graphics would stop overheeting?

Depends if its squashed. (No airflow)
Considering its a laptop I think the GPU would be overheating.
Only way to fix that is to put your laptop in a nice and cool area. Unfortunately there is nothing else I can do unless you purchase a desktop for gaming.

Hope this helps

I remember my old laptop had same problem with overheeting. I can realize wahat you guys want to say cause its summer air temperature itself can get to 39*C . The old one was overheeting during the summer but it was ok during winter . but what boders me is that it isnt very demanding game it should have no problems runniing it.

Considering its a HP motherboard when the temperatures reaches 55 or 60 degrees the emergency shutdown may commence. Maybe the motherboard is programmed like that

There are two approaches to this issue if you want to keep using the laptop and playing that game:

Find a way to reduce the load on the system (run the game at lower settings, lower brightness, exit all unneeded programs, etc).

Find a way to cool the system externally (prop it up, play next to an air conditioning vent, buy a laptop cooler, etc).

No, but since you said you had it for a year without issues try contacting HP about it. There could be a fault with one of the components like the motherboard.
You don't have to be under warranty although it may cost you if your out and need to fix it.
Hope this helps

Code:

If you didnt have a battery in your computer thats the reason why.
You must have the battery installed
By putting in the charger it won't really make a difference, but the battery will drain faster so if you don't want the battery to go flat put the charger in it.
Thats what I used to do with my laptop

Hope this helps

You must have the battery in. This is because when gaming your computer runs out of power that easily the adapter can't handle it.
So the solution to this problem is to reinstall the battery.
Hope this helps :)
Its not a overheating problem afterall!

ok so we got that out of the way.
I did some looking on it and one guy had same exactly the same problem as i have and the answer was
"try disabiling your video card, and use the on board HD 3000 to run games like minecraft,"
this confused me a little maybe you know more about it ?

Not sure where you learned that, the power adapter provids sufficient power for the entire system. I have never seen a laptop that won't work with the battery out. It doesn't magically consume more power when the battery is removed. The power adapter is fully capable of providing all the power needed.

Yes, he is saying use the integrated graphics (graphics powered by the Intel CPU) and not the "graphics card" inside the system.

You should search for how to accomplish this because I don't have the same laptop to go check. Look for your laptop model and running Intel integrated graphics.
