Help me please! I changed the dvi cable to a different one, I thought that it was dual, but it wasn't, so I changed back to the old one. But then the monitor said dvi no signal when I turned it on. The PC turns on, and I quickly noticed that the gpu wasn't nighting up. The gpu that I have is the nvidia GeForce gtx 970. I took off the side of the case and saw that the gpu is...loose...kinda. It's loose, but it doesn't come off. The power supply cables are nice and snug. What happened? Did I tug on the dvi input too much?

I got it assembled for a reason...lol.

The card shouldn't be loose. On typical dual-slot GPUs, the slot bracket should be fastened to the chassis using two screws. Unless those two screws are loose or missing, plugging in the cables should not have knocked the card out of the slot.

If removing the card and plugging it back in (or just pushing it back into the motherboard slot with moderate force and making sure the bracket screws are snug) does not fix it, something may have been damaged.

I don't think that there are any screws in on the dvi side.

lol all that I had to do was push the gpu up a Little and screw it in. The tugging of the dvi cables pushed it back, probably. Thanks for your help anyway :)

Ok now how do I delete/lock this thread? :p
