I have a Gigabyte SATA F2A68HM-H Motherboard and I have a IDE 250 Western Digital Hard Drive. I have Add the Sata to IDE two way Converter but I can't get the computer to recognize the Hard Drive. All it sees is the DVD.Help!

Solution
Have you ensured that the jumpers on the drive are set to "master"? If that doesn't work you may find that a PCI IDE controller card is a more reliable solution.

Yes, I did check that it was a master. And funny I was just looking PCI IDE controller cards. I'm thinking that might be the way to go or just buy a new SATA Hard drive.

Mmmmm That sounds good to. I'm beginning to this these sata to ide converters are junk. I just switched two of them with each other and now the computer keeps shutting down. Checked all the connection twice and they are all good. Gotta be the converters. I think I will save my money and buy the Sata HD (SSD)...
