What would be the best retailer to get the soon to be released Skylake CPU?

I am a little frantic right now, I am in a job that pays me in gift cards and so far, all of them are $1000 in amazon balance. I am saving up for a new Skylake based PC and I am a bit troubled. When the GTX 980ti first released, it basically went out of stock in a couple-few days and amazon had basically none on their site, there were only greedy 3rd party sellers asking $100-200 above the $650 MSRP and now Newegg is back in stock and still nothing from amazon. What I wanted to know, if something like I described would happen with the soon to be released Core i7-6700k? Has it happened before to the 4790k, 4770k, etc.? If you think it will, I will start getting newegg cards and get the cpu from newegg.

The one that has it wherever you live, and at the best price in the area you live in.

Every retailer that has them on day 1 will most likely charge the same amount of money for them. But some will try to jack the price up, and if one gets a lot more than they expect to sell, they might even lower the price a few dollars to gain extra sales.

It won't matter much then. Might want to check what https://pcpartpicker.com/
says on the day you are going to buy, but I almost always get my stuff through Amazon anymore. They have awesome return policies, unlike certain other computer places that seem to think I want to wait on eggs to hatch. I rarely return anything, but when I do, I do not need to be hassled about it. And Amazon has been spectacular when i did need to return something.
