Here is my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/xYamaha94/saved/2mjQzy

After ordering this computer, I regretted not going with the i7 4790K. So is it worth it for me to overclock this CPU? I do believe I have a good enough cooling system to go for. I do not want to push it to the limit but also I feel like I bought an unlocked processor so might as well overclock it. What should I overclock it to so that I am in the middle?

yes overclock. Go as far as you can go with the processor. This will require quite some time on your part because of fine tuning the voltage, settings, and running stress tests to see if it is stable, first I would start with 4.0 GHz, Then make sure it is stable, and go up to 4.2, 4.4, then 4.6 ghz.

You should be able to get around 4.6 stable on some good settings. you will need to make sure it is stable though. It is still a very good processor. I wouldnt regret it too much at all. Hope this helps!

Where might I find the best guide for overclocking? This is my first custom built PC and I have never overclocked before.

Thanks!

You'll get there faster if you go for the Maximum clock first 4.6ghz with core voltage at 1.2 then drop the multiplier until bsod doesn't happen, from there start fine tuning. If your not satisfied with your overclock, then start adding voltage. Overclocking is very much a process of elimination. One more thing, stress and bench directly after a restart so you have the lest amount of services and background apps running this will effect your scores.
