Getting many different CPU Temp readings

OpenHardwareMonitor says my cpu is at 50c and speccy says it is at 90c. My BIOS says it is idling at 40c idk what to believe. I am not overclocked. I am using the stock fan, I reapplied thermal paste, I cleaned the fan.

AMD CPU: Use AMD Overdrive (provides thermal margins, not the somewhat useless temperatures)
Intel CPU: Use Intel XTU

Yes if you have an AMD CPU. Are those excellent thermal margins at full load? Probably not. Run Prime95 to see how close to 0°C they are.

When I run prime95 speccy goes up to 103c, AMD Overdrive is around 17c Thermal Margin.

It means that the CPU is 17°C from the throttling temperature which is fine. You don't have much overclocking headroom.

Edit: Speccy can't accurately read the APU temperature.
