I am planing to buy some stuff from newegg and I am watching prices on their web page , but I have never been into their shop. My friend is going to buy some stuff for me so if price say 269.99 and after rebate 249.99 on web, will he pay 249.99 or 269.99 in store.

Unless it is an "instant rebate" (clearly labeled), he will pay $269.99. Eventually, if he jumps through the proper hoops as to what to send back in the time limit, he may get a check for $20.00.
