Hey there, i'm looking to buy a new gpu; vapor-x R9 290.
But i'm doubting wether my CPU, the fx-6100 (6core) can handle it.

Also, how many Watts would you recommend for my setup?

• Vapor-x R9 290
• fx-6100
• 1tb HDD
• 32GB SSD
• 2x 4gb ram
No cd drive whatsoever.

Overall the fx 6100 can handle the GPU

Overclocking will increase the power, if you want to be safe you can get a 750W power supply so you won't have to worry about upgrading.

I recommend a EVGA SUPERNOVA 750W Modular PSU

Bronze (I use this)

Gold (If you want to spend extra, what gold means is it will cut down your power bill.

A 600W will still be good but if you want to upgrade the GPU or CPU to higher models a 750W will...

it shouldnt be too much of bottle neck if anything but to be safe you could always up it to the AMD FX 6350 (not many people realise that this cpu exists )

any of these three: 6300, 6350(better bet tho)

600W - 750W Power supply

Hope this helps
