card is out of date. Should I just get another one? My macbook pro get's on. Can't get on internet with my pc.

If you dont have anything better than an N class router then theres no real point in updating just keep in mind that N comes in various speeds so try to match your adapter to the router. ie - if you have an N300 router try to find an N300 adapter. If you have an N150 router then an N600 adapter would be a waste since it will only get 150 speed from the router.
