Brand name should be enough of a comparison. I would run to a Sapphire before even considering a Powercolor. (That is, if I went AMD for my main rig)
Care to elaborate a bit? Im kinda in the dark here... Also what did u mean by AMD rig?
What I meant by AMD rig was if I used AMD for my GPU's. I don't, and not unless they do a lot of work with there GPU's, I never will. (Not a fanboy by any means, just not ignorant when I spend a lot of money on a GPU. That's the vary reason I never suggest buying an Nvidia GPU in the $100-$150 price range)
Anyways, back to my brand statement.
Powercolor has never been known as a brand to look up to in the GPU world.
Go to Newegg, look for any GPU (i.e. 280x, 280, 290, etc..) get the Sapphire variant and the Powercolor variant and compare the reviews. Yes, some people are morons when they write reviews but the same is true for every product's review section on Newegg. (If that makes sense).
280x for instance:

My point being, research the brands and not necessarily the individual card. Researching a brand will tell you a lot about their QA department.
