Do you know how to install a driver with only a driver and the .inf file?

Basically you go into the Device Manager and find your device. It will probably be under Unknown Device. Select the device and go into Properties. Select the driver tab and click the Update Driver Button. Then click Browse my computer for driver software. Then click the Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer. Then click the Have Disk... button. Navigate it to where you expanded the zip file. The folder ke2200w81-x64 is the one you want. It will show the .inf file and should proceed to install the driver.

same error occured http://gyazo.com/485800f6ea2138cae0113095d29ccb9d

That is odd. I've looked in the .inf file. It should only need the .sys and .cat files. There shouldn't be any other files to find. Where do you have the zip file unpacked?

yea i see those files

Just for sh1ts and giggles, try copying that folder with those three files to your desktop and then do the install again. This time navigate the install wizard to the folder on the desktop.

yea im still getting the error, damn

This has me stumped. It must be trying to access some windows file that it either can't find, or you don't have permissions for. The account your trying to install this under, is it an administrator account?

naw haha this rig is a year old, i just got fed up with wireless so i finally got my lazy ass to drill holes to hardwire

Oh OK. Well it's possible there is something wrong with a Windows file. Though I'm not sure what file it would be. I went through the .inf and the only file references are the three I've mentioned. Everything else as far as I can see is registry entries for all the settings.

I'd try the System File Checker and see if that shakes anything loose.
