DSR (Dynamic Super Resolution) Issues

I have a 1080p monitor being run by an Asus Strix GTX 970. I have enabled DSR 4x (4K) and turned my desktop resolution into this. For some reason, my mouse cursor is absolutely gargantuan! It takes up more space than the windows logo in the bottom left. Also, the cursor's point of interaction is slightly away from the actual cursor, so I keep having to move my mouse around to find out what the cursor is pointing at.

Is there any fix to these problems or is it just because it is 4 times the native resolution?

Solution
There's no fix or I hadn't found one yet but you don't have to have your desktop set to 4k, to run the game in 4k using DSR. If you find one let me know.

It's not a good idea to run the desktop in DSR, it'll look bad on a 1080P monitor.

Oh I thought you did, is there a setting in-game to change the resolution to greater than the monitor?

Once you save the factors in nvidia control panel, when you go in your game settings, the higher resolutions will now be available.
