Password protection of Seagate hard drive, or the files on it

You can encrypt folders and files in Windows depending on the version you have. TrueCrypt also works, but there were flaws found in it and not fixed, so I would not use that for anything really confidential, outside of that, it will keep just about anyone from opening the folders encrypted with it. http://truecrypt.sourceforge.net/

Does not seem to be hacks for it, but I have seen several news items that copied the notices that the makers say there may be unfixed flaws.

I also just read that the latest release only lets you decrypt existing items but not create new volumes which makes TrueCrypt not really usable unless you get an older version.
