my computer is Gateway E-4610 Series and board is

Intel Corporation DQ965MT VERSION AAD36265-505

450 W power supply (look like Chinese letters cant get a company name its OEM)

Windows XP

Intel Pentium D 3.4 GHz

4 GB ram DDR3(2x2GB sticks)

AMD HD 6770 1gb

70GB SSD (15GB free)
250 GB HDD (230 GB free)

one PCI-E 2.0 slot that is being used by my HD 6770

given this would a 750 TI work on this? i need a GPU that can run off the MOBOs power

thnaks

A 750TI would work as it's entirely motherboard powered.

That said with a Pentium D I don't think yo'll get much more out of the machine (the CPU will hold that card back). Personally I'd keep the 6770 for now and look into replacing the motherboard, cpu and memory instead.

i agree with this but i would be careful when purchasing the gpu if you do wish to change it as we installed a gtx 740 there the other day and it required a 6 pin pcie connector so just check before you purchase the card.

i second the mobo upgrade tho, you will see a benefit when upgrading to the 750ti but only to a point and then your cpu will be holding it back, def change the processor if possible sometime soon, like a q6600 may be a possible cheap upgrade for you
