Hi if I take out an SSD or HDD from my computer will I lose the data from that drive?

Also if I took the SSD out of my laptop could I connect it into my desktop?

Solution
No you don't lose the data. You can move the ssd to another machine. If there's an OS on it, it may not boot, but the data will still be there. Normally moving a OS drive to another machine requires a reload of the OS.
on an ssd you have to zap it with some power to burn out the pcb to wipe the data off those drives if there removed from a pc. a reg hard drive if you drop it or put it near a magnet you lose your data. if your moving the drive from one pc to another you be fine if your care full.
