Hi guys I am looking for an small ssd which is very relivable and wouldn't break the bank just for the windows OS. This is so that windows can boot up quicker. Can you recommend any reliable ssd?

Thanks

P.S. I am getting this for storage (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0088PUEPK/ref=ox_sc_act_title_7?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE).

You might aswell go for a ~120gb SSD as they're only a few pennies more than a ~64gb one. Something basic like a SanDisk Pulse or Kingston V300 would do, or if you want a bit more performance, then the OCZ ARC 100 is perfect.

@anti-duck Is it this one (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00LULVBZG?keywords=OCZ%20ARC%20100&qid=1436804258&ref_=sr_1_3&sr=8-3). I don't really need the extra space a 35GB ssd would do. I only need windows and maybe Microsoft office on it? I trying to save a bit where I can, also what else is essential on a ssd?

Samsung 850 evo 120gb *IS VERY SLOW* when writing data. It should be fine if this will be strictly a boot drive, as you're probably not writing to it much. If you want faster write speeds, go with the 250gb evo or the 128gb 850 Pro.

The Write speed specs for 850 evo is the same for both the 120 and 250 gb models.

Not sure how 520 mBps "IS VERY SLOW". Sure a 450hp Mercedes AMG is slow to a formula f1 drive, but for any normal person it is more then powerful. The 250 gb drive would be a waste of money for an OS/programs only drive that is likely never going to get much over 60-70GB in size.

During large transfers, the SLC cache will get filled and performance drops drastically. But as I said, for a boot drive this shouldn't matter much.

The slowdown applies to writing as well. But, as I've repeated several times now, this is probably not an issue with a boot drive. I just thought it was worth mentioning.
