Hi there,

(first post on tom's hardware)

I am looking to build a PC for some gaming (Battlefield, WoW, Witcher 3) and do some video editing (not too effects heavy).

I am looking at;
Intel I5 4690
Geforce GTX 970 (not gaming one)
16GB Ram
Gigabyte H97 Gaming 3
220GB SSD
Using old 120GB SSD
Also using old 1TB HDD
I am also looking to get the Thermaltake CA-1A3-00M1WN-00 A21 Black USB3.0 Mid Tower Case.

Do you think I will have any issues fitting everything on the mobo and inside the case while still being neat and tidy?

Also looking at getting an IPS monitor for around the $200 - $260 mark. Any suggestions?

Any help would be great!

Good build, but if you are not overclocking, I would either suggest the i5-4460 or the Xeon E3-1231 V3

I chose those two because the 4460 is identical to the 4690 except for a slightly lower clock speed which won't have any real performance difference and costs about $30 less. The Xeon is also a great choice for non overclockers doing video editing because it has i7 performance for i5 price.

For the case, in that price range I would suggest something like the Phanteks Enthoo Pro ATX Full Tower Case because it offers better airflow and higher quality components in general.

Other than that the build looks fine and everything will fit with no problem.

This seems to be a good choice for a monitor in your price range...
Change the i5 to a Xeon 1231 v3. It will help so much with the editing software. Everything else looks good. Make sure you get a quality power supply from a good manufacture and not a cheap corsair builder / cx or other cheap unit. Check my signature for a list of power supplies (PSU Tier List). Only pick tier 1-2. My recommendation is XFX Core or TS. (cheap tier 2 units) on a serious budget or EVGA GS (cheapest tier 1 unit).

This seems to be a good choice for a monitor in your price range: Acer G257HU smidpx 60Hz 25.0" Monitor

Here is a 27" 1080p alternative: Asus MX279H 27.0" Monitor

Hope I helped.
