Server RAID Controller Suggestion

Moving into a house with other PC people, we are all chipping in to build this

Need a suitable RAID card for it, OS will be Linux of some sort. We already have an SSD for this. The case is not up for discussion as it is going in my room and I really like the look of this case.

Why not go with the ASUS PIKE cards that the manufacturer recommends? SAS can use SATA drives just fine.

I didn't go for a PIKE as I missed that part...

gonna go with this version instead though as we are planning a RAID 6.
