hey guys I went on vacation to cuba, and before I left I had my computer on sleep, and I turned off my computer by turning off the back switch and pulling the plug. Now that I came back my computer turned on and stayed on for like a minute. It came back from its sleep state which I thought was weird. So it turned off and I unplugged it, cleaned dust from it, pulled the battery out for like an hour, then tried again. It turned on and went to Windows didn't shutdown correctly, so I clicked run on safe mode, and it didn't last. So turned it on again, and it went to the repair screen, so I had it go thru everything, and it said it was gonna try to solve it by restarting. So it ended up turning off while attempting to find any other problems, and now it won't let me go past the motherboard screen. Please help I'm out of ideass on what to do

If your warranty is still valid it would be best to contact technical support and tell them exactly what happened They're likely to be able to help in some way. Otherwise if you can factory restore it from this point do so and restart the computer if you can't do so, try removing the storage device and Installing a new one this should have a similar effect to factory reseting the computer.

Ok well I tried the hard drive thing, pulling the Sara cable and the one that gives it power, and it brings me to select a boot and restart computer, or use a boot storage device and press and key. While this was happening my computer did shutoff randomly. So I plugged in the hard drive again and went to Windows repair at boot screen, and when it was looking for issues it turned off again! I don't think it can be my hard drive, because I've actually gotten past windows bootscreen onto the desktop, and opened a folder, but it'll shutoff less than 2 minutes. Before the vacation everything was good now it's fucked lol

Ok so I put in a different hard drive, but it's still doing it. Went past the windows screen, then shut off, even at the repair screen, it just shutoff. The problem is the computer that I got Hard drive from is also not working, so idk if his hard drive is fried too.

Quick update... I cleaned as much as I can throughout the computer, unplugging everything, as well as the cmos battery. So when I plugged it in and ran, I went straight to start windows normally, and it started up! I got to event viewer, but my computer shutoff before I can get to a log. So what I'm thinking is maybe the computer is shutting off because it thinks it's overheating? I wouldn't see another explanation because my computer actually works, it's just that it shuts off at weird times.

One thing you could try is removing all power from the machine (Switch off at the wall) then press and hold your Power button for about 30 seconds. Release, and try again with power restored. Next you could try resetting CMOS by removing the CMOS battery for 30 secs, but that involves entering your Tower, and if it's sealed it may void your Warranty

Let me know, if its done

Nope never worked. I have no idea on what it could be because the power supply can holdup, its not even old, probably like a year ago, same with all the other components. I got the fx 8120 not overclocked but used to be for a while going at 4 Ghz. I got the Msi g46 mobo not the best but its ok, and 600W UltraATX power supply.
