What is best? Running my pc in dual graphics or buying a standalone graphic card?

Hello,
My PC Specs are as below:
APU 10-6800k
8 gb RAM
2 gb on board hd 8670D Graphics.

Now I am planning to buy a graphic card. But I am confused about one thing.
What should I do?
As I have an APU I can dual graphics with radeon hd 6670. So It will give me 2gb onboard plus 1gb hd6670 = 3gb graphic support. is this better?
or buying AMD Radeon R7 250 2gb ddr5 or some other nvidia graphic card with 2gb graphic memory and get the full use of my 8 gb ram?
Right now I can only use 6 gb because 2gb is given to onboard graphics.
Please guide me in this dilemma.
Thanks in advance.

I'd go with a single better card. But if you only go with the R7-250, the Dual Graphics solution may be faster. It will depend on how many games recognize Dual graphics. When I had my A10-5800K and a HD 6670 in DG mode, I was not impressed. But I'd suggest spending a bit more for the single discrete card than the R7-250.

Thanks A Lot for a quick reply.
This is the smps I have.
http://www.flipkart.com/circle-apfc-500-watts-psu/p/itmeyw3nghz8g6zd?pid=PSUEYW3NHYRPGYUN&ref=L%3A-2584489036224774116&srno=p_1&query=circle+smps&otracker=from-search
But still There are two problems in that card.
1. I don't have the tower case.
2. R9 270X when buying in indian market(as I am in India) will cost me something like US$240.
So at this moment I can't afford it. any other card you have in mind? How about R7250 or R7260
Thanks.

If this is the nameplate on your PSU: http://img01.olx.in/images_olxin/59271713_4_1000x700_circle-apfc-500-watts-psu-electronics-computers.jpg
...it only has a single +12V rail rated at a measly 18A. How they can call that a 500W PSU is beyond me. (!) I have had 220W PSUs with better ratings than that. I'm afraid I can't recommend any discrete card to safely use with that PSU that would be better than the integrated gfx. I don't know if it would even handle the HD-6670 in DG mode.

And if you have a slimline case that requires a low profile card, your choices will be severely limited.

Sorry than I must have sent you a wrong psu details. Because As my motherboard requires 8pin rail in psu I have that. So It's an authentic(I Think) 500W PSU. It Also has 6pin rail, 4 sata, 4 pata and 2 pci-e.
Thanks.

My bad on my interpretation of the link I sent above. I see now (upon closer inspection) that there is indeed a second +12V rail rated at 16A. I first thought that read -12V. So ignore my previous statement. I need to get new glasses, I guess.

Now, to your question...
If your PSU has a 32A/320W +12V rails as shown in your pic, The 180W (TDP) 270X would still be pushing it, IMO. Dropping back to the 150W (TDP) R9-270 might allow you to have a more stable system with less chance of shutdowns or restarts. http://www.hwcompare.com/16552/radeon-r9-270-vs-radeon-r9-270x/

But will it fit your case?

No it won't.
And In my cast it will be like buying a car because I got a car spray. As Gaming cases are very costly here.
Any Low end Card you might suggest.

Thanks for all ther answers....

First of all, change the currency. What is your budget in INR? Using dollars if you're not in the US, Canada or other such country only creates confusion.
Secondly, how about the GTX 750 Ti? It's slower than the 270, but packs a good punch for the power consumption. If you want to go AMD, the equivalent of the 750Ti is the R7 260x. Consumes more power, but your PSU can handle that. Both cards can be had between 10k and 11k if you get a good deal.

Most of all, both cards are likely to fit the small cases that we have here in prebuilt computers(next time, insist on building your own).

Ok.
How about Nvidia GTX 750 TI 2gb DDR5?
Or It will not run with my AMD APU A10-6800K?
Someone told me That on amd motherboards, only amd cards will run? is it true?
