Power Supply Unit,Modular and Non-Modular

PSU,Because I don't know the difference between these two names I've heard,that is Modular and Non-Modular PSUs.Which one is good in terms of performance.Or just they're both same?

Modular - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139048 - all the cables can be disconnected from the power supply. So you can just not connect the ones you don't need to use.

Semi Modular - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817171093 - some cables are permanently fixed to the power supply. These are ones you always need to use anyway.

non Modular - all the cables are permanently attached. So you might end up with some cables still in your case that aren't attached to anything. Resulting in slioghtly more messy wiring than otherwise needs to be.
