How to install these 2 RAM Modules (2gb + 1gb) on Asus P5QL-E mobo?

Hi guys I have a PQL-E motherboard and it is confusing me..

I want to install 2gb + 1gb, they are same brand and all specs equal, just not matching the GB´s, so it wont work in dual channel.

My mobo have: DIMM A1 (yeallow) ; DIMM A2 (black); DIMM_B1 (yeallow); DIMM B2 (black), it supports dual channel but I am not sure what are the dual channels and the single channel slot configuartions? For dual channel it is the colour that matters or the channel being A or B?

Also, how should I install these RAM? thx

fill a1 with the larger dimms and the b bank b1 with the smaller dimm. run memtest if there no errors you should be go to go if it errors out..swap the larger dimms to b bank and retest. some mb the larger dimms have to be in the same bank.

Hi, i put the memory this morning in the B1 slot as you have told me. No problems untill now, seems to be working fine. But in Speccy in says the RAM is working on dual channel. Is it possible? Considering the momerys have difrent sizes?
