How to know if RAM dual channel is working

Hello guys.

I'm new to PC components, and I recently bought a new motherboard for my PC. I wanted to get 2 sticks of RAM 8gb, so they could work on dual channel.
However, I was on a low budget by the time I got the new motherboard, CPU and other parts, I could only get a single RAM stick.

I got a Kingston hyperx fury 8gb 1600 MHz. (running at 800mhz at 10-10-10-30 timings)

Today, I was able to get the other 8gb stick, same as the first one I got, when I put it in I noticed that the second stick was running at 889 MHz (same latency though) but it got me worried, since I have read that for the dual channel to perform well, it is required to have both sticks running at the same frequency and latency.

So I guess I just want to know if I should change the RAM, or what is needed to have both sticks working properly.

I appreciate any answers.
