how many fans and where?

Solution

That cooler you bought is mounted right on to your processor.

The front mounts hold 120mm fans. The rest of the case can take 120 or 140mm fans. They are usually between $5 and $10 each. According to the specs of the case it includes a 120mm in the front and a 120mm in the back. So for your starting point if you buy 1 more 120mm fan and install it in the front you're good.

Theres a lot of fan mounts in that case. Two on the side, two on top, two in front, and one in the rear.

How many you would need depends on what you're running. To start you want one on top and one in the back blowing out, and you want 2 in front blowing in (or 1 on the side and 1 in front). If you decide to add more add an additional side fan so you have a total of 4 blowing in. Then you can add another to the top, so in the end you have more blowing in than out. This creates positive pressure which is best for cooling.

You want a natural airflow flowing through your case, from front to back.

Most cases come with 1 fan on the front pulling cool air in. A second fan on the rear pulling the warm air out. In addition, all CPU's today need cooling blocks, and those have a fan to move the heat away from the CPU, and heat always tries to go up. Most video cards also come with fans, and most of those push at least some of the heat from the card out the back of the system.

I personally like a to try to have a positive pressure inside of my case. What this means is that you have 2 fans on the front pulling air in, and still only have 1 fan on the rear. This helps a little to keep dust out, but mainly, it pushes even more cool air through your case.

Adding fans in other places is not generally helpful, because they disturb the natural front to back flow of air, and that can create pockets of hot air inside of the case.

By what you're running I mean equipment. A basic non overclocked intel setup? Or an AMD FX 8350 with a big cooler you're going to overclock?

Depending on whether you're running intel or AMD we can recommend whether to use the factory CPU fan or replace it (you have to use something either way)

Ok so you are running a good cooler, thats good keep it that way. You want to have one fan drawing outward on the back of the case that will pull the heat from that cooler outward. On the front of the case you want to put 2 fans. This would be the minimum to start with and may well work fine. Should you find things running a bit warm, add a fan on top pushing out as well, and then add a fan to the side of the case.

If youre talking about the front panel there is space there for 2 fans, you should put 2 fans in there and make sure they are pushing inward.

I don't understand what you mean by that. Your cooler fan doesn't "count" as a system fan, theres no formula, and the cooler fan needs to be there no matter what. You will have 3 case fans to start. 2 in front pushing in, and 1 in back pushing out.

I'm not familiar with those stores but I would say its worth asking. That said there are so many guides out there, and you really have all you need, why not do it yourself. Follow the guide I attached below.
