GTX 970 4 gb with Asus P8Z77-V LX2 motherboard!?

Hi, Planning on buying some new hardware for my computer and ran into some "problems" or rather questions. First I wanted to buy a MSI r9 380 4 gb gaming card, but after some thinking I decided that 70-100 € more is well spent if I can get my hands on the GTX 970 instead. But now I'm unsure if my motherboard is to old to run this card smoothly. Thanks in advance

Double check your math or learn more.
140 Watt card
90 watt processor about 75 for the rest,
Unless they run a full system stress test he will never see over 300 watts.

Not true, exactly, probably about 400~ watts at full power.

Thank you for both of your answers. I remembered that I bought a new PSU like 1 year ago but never came to use it. CX 600 Corsair, should fit into my motherboard so I will probably use that one instead, the PSU I have right now have a couple of years on its back!
