So I have a 95W Motherboard and i want to replace my current CPU a AMD FX-4130 because it doesn't meet requirements for many games. So what is the most powerful AMD CPU that work with a 95W AM3+ Socket??

Any help will be much appreciated

That would be the 8320E octa core. Just a word of warning though, to be honest most games don't use more than 4 cores so the 8 core probably wont be much of a boost.

You could overclock, but if your motherboard is limited to 95W that probably isn't an option either. I'm not sure you'll see much benefit from an 8320 for gaming (I have an 8320 btw, I've not found it too bad but if you look at recent benchmarks the FX chips really aren't that great, this review is helpful: http://uk.hardware.info/reviews/6094/31/amd-vs-intel-57-processor-megatest-benchmarks-hd-7970-hitman-absolution-1920x1080-medium)...

Out of curiosity what games are you struggling with and what's the rest of your system specs?

Processor AMD FX(tm)-4130 Quad-Core Processor
Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960
Memory 8.2 GB
Operating System Microsoft Windows 8 (build 9200), 64-bit

Game I am Strugglibg with are the Total War Games like ROME II and Shogun 2, also GTA V performance is nowhere close like other people. Witcher 3 is another game

As Hagaxe says the FX 6300 might be your best option if you stick with AMD (the extra 2 cores on the FX 8320E don't do a lot and the clocks will be lower).

That said it's sad to say but AMD's fastest chip (the 220W 9590) only keeps up with the Intel Core i3 4370. The FX chips weren't bad when they came out, however Intel gear (especially the lower end chips like i3's) have vastly improved and well AMD haven't released anything new recently.

Personally I'd get a new motherboard and an i3 4350 or 4370 the way things currently stack up.
