Used GPU instead of integrated, any issue?

I built my own computer today and as lazy and eager as I am, I built it all at once, and when I went to plug it into my monitor to see if it worked, it didn't, but then I had the bright idea to plug monitor>GPU and it worked! Any issues in setting up your pc using the video card instead of integrated? Am I risking anything here?

As a general rule, a discrete GPU will always outperform integrated graphics. Since you have included none of your hardware specs, I cannot guarantee this for your case, but either way you cannot harm your hardware in any way by using a dedicated graphics card as opposed to integrated.
